Our Story

Jacqueline and Jerome founded Two Meadow Farm in 2021 on the four acres they call home in North Haven, CT in New Haven County. The property was once part of a larger orchard, Oak Crest Farm. We are proud to practice sustainable farming methods to grow beautiful flowers for our community. Purchasing this home and land was a dream come true for both Jacqueline and Jerome.

Jacqueline Maisonpierre, a CT native, grew up in a home that always had a garden full of veggies and flowers. She began farming in 2011 on a small vegetable and flower farm, it was there she fell in love with both agriculture and dahlias, two stories that have shaped her path for the past 13 years. She has worked on organic farms throughout New England. She was proud to work as an urban farmer for many years, growing thousands of pounds of organic produce in underserved neighborhoods of New Haven. Through this work she saw the transformation healthy food has on families and decided to pursue a masters degree in Nutrition.

Jacqueline is now a licensed Nutritionist. Her passion for delicious food, public health, community development, and DAHLIAS brought her to where she is now at Two Meadow Farm. She loves creating elaborate meals, working in her fields of dahlias, and sharing her love of flowers with others.

Jerome Oertling is Two Meadow Farm’s Groundskeeper and Director of Maintenance. He works during the day as an environmental consultant but loves every minute he gets to spend maintaining and improving the land and outbuildings on the farm. You will likely find him mowing the grounds, working on the barn, or tending to our chickens.

Since moving in, Jerome and Jacqueline have added many new dahlia beds, repaired the barn roof, built a walk-in cooler, and converted the old chicken coup to the the ‘Flower House’ where dahlias tubers and flowers are stored for the winter and kept fresh for fall sales.

Our daughter Lillian joined the farm in the Spring of 2023. She is our curious farm explorer, joyful chicken chaser, and lover of all flowers. Our son Remy joined our family crew in late 2025.
